Biography

Ivana Ro is a Policy Programs Manager at Meta, where she leads on global programs across the Crisis Response portfolio, including a COVID-19 response program in 170+ countries that offers scaled support to NGOs, UN agencies and government partners. In this role, she also coordinates crisis and disaster-related donations in response to, and in preparation for major emergencies. Ivana previously worked at Internews, an international media development nonprofit organization that works to ensure access to trusted, quality information for people everywhere. She began her career as an intern at the Obama White House Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, where she supported community engagement work with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. Ivana is a native of Los Angeles, and is a proud graduate of UC San Diego's Eleanor Roosevelt College.

What do you foresee as the most important development in international grantmaking in the next 5 years?

Increased access to, and ability for corporate philanthropy partners to give directly to local organizations and partners ahead of and in response to major crises.
